  • Final year project: Numerical modeling of the impacts of high-albedo roofs on building energy. This modeling project calculates the decrease in the average room temperature of a building in Singapore after using cool roofs using EnergyPlus.   • Internship at NOK Oil Seal as a design engineer. NOK Oil Seal manufactures oil seals for various Original Equipment Manufacturers. Used AutoCAD extensively to produce blueprints of oil seals according to customers’ requirements.

  • Silver medalist for kumite (fighting) in weight class -84 kg in the National University of Singapore Karate Invitational 2010. Level: Nationwide (Singapore)

  • Represented Singapore in the second round of the Airbus Fly Your Ideas Contest 2009. Level: Open, International.

Achievements  

  • Solved a problem with Single Joint Elevator (SJE) for a Pipe Racking System onboard rig COSL Gift in 3 days, thus optimizing drilling time. Location: Singapore.

  • Fixed a problem in a shot pin assembly of a Top Drive onboard rig Daewoo SHWE in two days, thus preventing costly downtime. Location: Myanmar.

  • Found a root cause of the fire in the Top Drive in rig Ensco 8504, thus preventing potential repeated downtime. Location: Indonesia.

  • Became the Pipe Racking Systems in charge of the ten years recertification of drilling equipment of the two semi-submersible rigs of Gazflot Prom. Location: China.
